Many Amsterdammers are not aware of the wide range of activities taking place in the port. The art and design project STARTS4water brings the port closer to the public and highlights the role it plays in the transition to a circular economy. The result? A circular artwork made from used car tires, supplied by Granuband in the port. The work of British artist Michael Pinsky is now on display at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam-Noord.

Holthausen Energy Points (HEP) is to build the first hydrogen station at the Port of Amsterdam. Truck drivers and motorists will be able to refuel at the station 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The applicantis granted a permit for the bunkering of liquefied methane using the bunker vessels Coral Methane and Coral Fraseri within the Amsterdam, Beverwijk, Velsen, and Zaanstad municipalities.

The Province of North Holland is starting the project decision procedure for wind turbines in the port area. The project is currently in the exploration phase. Companies, residents and other stakeholders will be involved in the process. After this phase, the Province will take a project decision that determines whether the wind turbines will be built and under what conditions and regulations.
