New waiting jetty in the Minervahaven
24 September 2025
On August 27, traffic signs were installed at the new waiting jetty in the Minervahaven. This means the jetty is now fully operational.
The new waiting jetty has been specially designed for CEMT Class I and II vessels and offers space for a total of four berths for inland shipping with shore access. The two waiting jetties are:
- Waiting jetty 5 north: for vessels between 40 and 60 meters in length, with a maximum width of 15 meters.
- Waiting jetty 5 south: for vessels between 38 and 40 meters in length, with a maximum width of 12 meters.
This is a great project realized by Port of Amsterdam in collaboration with Hakkers. Please note: due to the slope, vessels are required to moor bow-first.
Looking ahead, we are exploring the possibilities of introducing shore power and the use of spud poles in the future.
