EcoLog continues development of liquid hydrogen import terminal

EcoLog has taken an important step in the development of a liquid hydrogen import terminal in the Port of Amsterdam. This week, the company signed an agreement in Tokyo with a group of technology partners that will supply equipment for both the future import terminal and the vessels that will transport the hydrogen. The signing took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Japan, H.E. Gilles Beschoor Plug.

City of Amsterdam contributes to the development of local hydrogen network H2avennet

The Executive Board of the City of Amsterdam intends to contribute €4 million to the development of the local hydrogen network for the Port of Amsterdam area: H2avennet. This grant from the Amsterdam Climate and Energy Fund provides a significant boost to the development of the network and supports the further growth of a hydrogen economy in the port of Amsterdam.

Province launches procedure for wind turbines in port Area

The Province of North Holland is starting the project decision procedure for wind turbines in the port area. The project is currently in the exploration phase. Companies, residents and other stakeholders will be involved in the process. After this phase, the Province will take a project decision that determines whether the wind turbines will be built and under what conditions and regulations.

Splitting VTS Sector in Amsterdam to enhance Waterway Safety

From 30 September, an additional VTS sector will be introduced in Amsterdam: Channel 5, Sector City. The current VHF 4 channel will be split to reduce congestion on the radio channel and to improve nautical safety.
