As of 3 October 2022, construction will take place in the Houthaven for the purpose of constructing a landing protection between the future and the current houseboat jetties and the inland navigation waiting jetties at the pier.
The planned lock closure due to a rail track change of the North Lock at IJmuiden from 4 October to 4 November 2022 (announcement no. 45) and from 5 November to 25 November (announcement no. 44) will be withdrawn.
Due to the drought during the summer and salt entry into the North Sea Canal, it has been decided to postpone the work until the beginning of 2023.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the IJmuiden Middle Lock will be closed for a FIT-test on
7 December 2022 from 08.00 hr to 16.00 hr LT.
If the FIT test has to be postponed due to weather conditions, it will be carried out on 14 December 2022 from 08:00 to 16:00 hr LT.
The IJmuiden Sea Lock will be closed for navigation due to a software update on
20 December 2022 from 08.00 hr to 16.00 hrs LT.

Push barges occupy an important position at Port of Amsterdam. Literally, since they take up about 100,000 m2 of water surface area. There are currently enough places for over 100 push barges. And that sometimes means having to compromise on space.
