The Province of North Holland is starting the project decision procedure for wind turbines in the port area. The project is currently in the exploration phase. Companies, residents and other stakeholders will be involved in the process. After this phase, the Province will take a project decision that determines whether the wind turbines will be built and under what conditions and regulations. Read more

Many Amsterdammers are not aware of the wide range of activities taking place in the port. The art and design project STARTS4water brings the port closer to the public and highlights the role it plays in the transition to a circular economy. The result? A circular artwork made from used car tires, supplied by Granuband in the port. The work of British artist Michael Pinsky is now on display at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam-Noord. Read more

For the first time, liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been bunkered at the Cruise Port Terminal in Amsterdam. The cruise ship Ilma, owned by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, was fuelled by FlexFueler 001, Titan Clean Fuels' bunker vessel.
The bunkering was carried out via a ship-to-ship transfer (STS), whereby LNG is pumped directly from one ship to another. Read more
