Electriq Global, a pioneer and industry leader in Solid Hydrogen Carriers was awarded a €1.1M grant from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Electriq's Hydrogen Powder manufacturing plant, slated to be built on Zenith Energy Terminals' grounds and powered by Zenith’s Renewable Energy, is scheduled to begin operations in 2026.

Due to the accomodation of refugees by the municipality of Zaanstad, a number of berths for barges in the Wim Thomassenhaven will disappear during the fourth quarter. For further information, please contact to the municipality of Zaanstad. Alternatives for mooring push barges are available in the Westhaven, the ADM haven, the Suezhaven and in the Hornhaven.

Port of Amsterdam set a new transhipment record in 2019 with transhipment totalling 86.9 million tonnes, compared to 82.3 million tonnes in 2018. This represents a 6% increase. The total transhipment of all ports in the area reached 105 million tonnes, compared to 101,8 million tonnes in 2018.
