Dispose of Waste Properly

Unfortunately, waste is still too often placed next to the containers. The containers are intended exclusively for household waste, cardboard/paper, and plastic.
Larger items, such as washing machines, may not be placed next to the containers.
Port of Amsterdam has installed cameras at various locations (for example, in the Afrikahaven) near containers and recycling points to monitor compliance. In addition, signs are posted at each recycling point to clearly indicate that waste may not be left next to the containers. In this way, we hope to improve supervision and prevent the nuisance that currently occurs.
