The Director of the Central Nautical Management North Sea Canal Area announces the following.
Having regard to:
I.To establish the following additional sign for a seagoing vessel during the bunkering activity of the designated fuels and energy carriers listed below:
1. between sunset and sunrise: a bright, all-round red shining light and
2. between sunrise and sunset: the international signal flag "B".
During (de)bunkering methane, methanol and hydrogen, requirements must be imposed on other port users and passing ships to keep them at a safe distance from these operations. These requirements reduce the risk of collision and ensure that passing ships do not pose a source of ignition in the event of leakage - although such leakage has a very low probability of occurring.
From 6 January 2025 to 10 January 2025, work will take place in the Afrikahaven.
The work will be carried out by the work vessels Haringvliet and Westerschelde and will consist of moving a mooring pole.
Due to maintenance, the Sea Lock at IJmuiden is closed at:
January 15, 2025 from 08:00 to 16:00
If the maintenance closure has to be postponed due to weather conditions, it will be carried out on 22 January 2025 from 08:00 to 16:00.
On 29 January 2025, illuminated buoys will be placed in the outer harbour of IJmuiden to mark current measuring frames.
These 8 pieces of measuring equipment are placed on the bottom near Buka 2, channel and outer harbor (ADCPs) for flow measurement for simulations of pilotage.
These measurements will take place from the end of January 2025 to mid-March 2025. Planned extraction of the equipment and buoys is March 12, 2025.
