To designate the area in Carel Reynierszhaven as an area where ships may moor by the use of spud poles.

In addition to previous information on the maximum dimensions of ships permitted to pass through the IJmuiden Middle Lock, the rules for maximum dimensions of seagoing ships have also been eased. Below is a complete overview of the maximum dimensions of ships permitted to pass through the IJmuiden Middle lock.

The Director of the Central Nautical Management, who is also the (State) Harbour Master, announces the following:

The IJmuiden lightering facility ‘IJ-palen’, located on the north side of the IJmuiden Noorderbuitenkanaal, has been renovated and will be taken into operation on 20 December 2019.

A fog light has been placed on the entrance of the port, Vissershaven/ Zuiderbuiten channel. Operation of this light can be requested in case of poor visibility on channel VHF 61.

After switching on, it will automatically extinguish after 1 hour.

Adopt the plan of approach of 26 November 2020 for the handling of cargoes in seagoing vessels that have been treated abroad with disinfectants. This plan of approach is included as Annex 1 to this decision.

Designation of the Pontsteiger (ferry landing place) in the Oude Houthaven as an area where moored ships are prohibited from using a generator and/or operate a main and/or auxiliary engine.
