On Tuesday 21 March, it was again time for our annual event: the Agents' Dinner. The programme consisted of a substantive plenary section followed by a convivial dinner. The presentation focused on MyPort and the replacement rail track at Noordersluis.

PACT is a new service on the online port portal MyPort for outgoing sea vessels from agents and terminals in the Amsterdam port. After a successful pilot last year, a robust version of PACT was built this year. By 14 April 2023, PACT will be ready for use.

From this week, Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Port of Amsterdam are offering Routescanner’s ‘Direct Connections’ on their websites. This service shows all available connections from the ports. Routescanner is the route planner for container shipping and shows not only the fastest container routes, but also the most sustainable.

An additional waste recycling point has been created at Afrikahaven and a new waste recycling point has also been set up at the Minervahaven/Koivstokade corner.

Unfortunately, rubbish is too often placed next to containers. Therefore, Port of Amsterdam will hang a camera near the containers in Afrikahaven in March.

From now on, there we will an additional waiting place for coupled push barges. This waiting berth will be an extension of the current waiting berths along the Houthaven breakwater.
