How to deal with ship-generated waste?
You can deliver several types of waste in the seaports of the North Sea Canal Area. In accordance with IMO's MARPOL treaty, we distinguish between the following types of waste:
- Annex I: oil-containing waste
- Annex II: chemicals in bulk waste
- Annex III: harmful substances
- Annex IV: sanitary waste
- Annex V: domestic waste
- Annex VI: air pollutants and ozone-depleting substances or air emissions
You can arrange for collection of your ship-generated waste by one of the designated port reception facilities in the municipality of your berth (see map).
Here is a list with the designated port reception facilities in the North Sea Canal Area.
Should you have any questions, please contact the Ship-generated Waste Department.
Would you wish to be designated as a port reception facility? Please refer to the conditions below.
