Knowhow and experience
The port of Amsterdam has been home to a variety of offshore operations for many years. With its favourable geographic location and large number of leading support companies located in the immediate vicinity, the Amsterdam port region provides a wide spectrum of opportunities. Amsterdam has the space available, including logistics facilities and an infrastructure designed for offshore operations: ranging from the production and dismantling of components for oil and gas platforms to production and pre-assembly for wind farms to the maintenance and refurbishment of work vessels and offshore parts and components. Amsterdam also offers a highly qualified workforce and the presence of outstanding research and educational institutions.
The partnership between the City of Amsterdam and the region (Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports – AYOP) provides access to more than 80 companies specialising in offshore operations.
All this makes the Amsterdam port region the perfect location for a wide range of offshore activities, including installation, maintenance and operation, refurbishment and dismantling of offshore wind farms within a 180-nautical-mile radius.
