Nouryon, Tata Steel, and Port of Amsterdam partner to develop the largest green hydrogen cluster in Europe

Nouryon, Tata Steel and Port of Amsterdam have joined together to study the feasibility of a large green hydrogen cluster in the Amsterdam region. The three parties consider green hydrogen as vital for reaching climate targets and building a more circular economy, for example by combining it with emissions from steel manufacture to make new products.

Superyachts choose Amsterdam

HISWA Holland Yachting Group and Port of Amsterdam announced in May 2018 their ambition to put Amsterdam on the map as a top destination for superyachts. The last two months more than 10 superyachts have chosen Amsterdam as their destination. They include Reef Chief, Aviva, Avanti, Forever One and Big Eagle.

Maximum ESI discount doubled for ships with ESI certificates and LNG

Carbon emissions in North Sea Canal Area to be reduced by half by 2030

Industrial companies based in the North Sea Canal Area seek to cut carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, bringing them down from the current level of 15 megatons. Virtually all circular waste flows must be recycled by 2050 and carbon emissions minimised. In committing to these targets, the area aims to be among the leading regions in Europe when it comes to reducing climate change.
