Spliethoff Group Port of Amsterdam

Spliethoff Group, one of the largest shipping companies in the Netherlands, recently expanded significantly in the Port of Amsterdam. It has moved into three warehouses on a 15,000 m² site on Elbaweg, from where it supplies over 100 vessels with parts.

Spare parts, hoisting belts and other transport-supporting materials are stored in the warehouses on Elbaweg. Besides a lack of space at the head office on Radarweg, the presence of heavy overhead cranes in the warehouses on Elbaweg was a major reason for expanding into this new location.

The head office of Spliethoff Group has been located at Radarweg 36 in the Western Port Area of Amsterdam since 1922. The company, with its subsidiaries Spliethoff's Bevrachtingskantoor (Spliethoff), BigLift Shipping, Sevenstar Yacht Transport, Wijnne Barends, Transfennica and since recently the shipping company Bore as well, is a major player in the Netherlands.
