New trees in Petroleumhaven area

Bomen petroleumhavengebied

Port of Amsterdam is currently planting new trees in the Petroleumhaven area of the Port, as part of restructuring operations conducted in this area. The new green space is sure to make the area more appealing to new businesses and employees. Along with other features introduced in the public space recently – such as separate bicycle paths, and wider, open pedestrian pathways – the area has been transformed into a perfect spot for lunchtime walks for local workers, including to the new lookout point in Petroleumhaven. The restructuring operation is partly funded by the North Holland Provincial Authority as part of its HIRB (herstructurering bedrijfsterreinen – industrial site restructuring) programme.
