The port of Amsterdam region is a perfect location for intercontinental shipping; situated in the logistics ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) hub, near the sea and excellently connected to the hinterland. Deep sea vessels are able to reach and leave the port easily and the many deep sea terminals located in the port have outstanding multimodal facilities available for hinterland transportation.

The port always seeks opportunities to become smarter, faster and cleaner. With the realization of the new and biggest sea-lock of the world in 2019 (500 meters long, 70 meters wide and 18 meters deep), the port of Amsterdam will be ready to welcome more and bigger ships at te same time.
