The Deputy Director of the Public Body Central Nautical Management, who is also the Deputy State Harbour Master, announces the following:
Due to the construction of a quay in an indented quay section on the north side of the North Sea Canal between kilometre markers 12 and 13, a waterway work area has been established.
The original work area will be divided into two separate work areas as from 2 September 2019. As a result of this, the quay at Hoogtij / CT Vrede is now accessible for local traffic.
The CT Vrede quay now has a length of 150 metres and has been dredged to a depth of 6 metres below NAP.
The two work areas will be closed for navigation from 2 September 2019 until 2 June 2020, or shorter if possible or longer if necessary. Ships that have to carry out works in this area are exempt from the closure (see drawing).
Both areas will be marked by yellow special demarcation buoys with top mark A1 as prescribed in Annex 7 of the BPR.
Announcement to Shipping 2019/17 has been cancelled.
