The Director of the Public Body Central Nautical Management, who is also the State Harbour Master, announces the following:
The area at the tail end of the Vlothaven at Amsterdam will be closed for navigation from 19 August until 31 December 2019. The period of closure has to do with the construction of a new quay and may be shorter if possible or longer if necessary.
Ships that have to carry out works in the area closed for navigation are allowed to enter this area. A mooring prohibition is in force, indicated by appropriate on-site traffic signs. Ships calling at Rotim or CST may do so only after prior consultation with the building contractor as the Rotim or CST quays are partly situated within the work area.
The area has been designated as a prohibited area on the basis of Decision No. CNB/050/2019. https://www.portofamsterdam.com/en/shipping/seashipping/regional-port-bye-laws
As the quays of Rotim and CST are partly situated within the work area, ships calling at Rotim or CST should do so after prior consultation with the building contractor.
