Green light for construction of container terminal

Source: Dagblad Kennemerland, 19 June 2004

The first pile for the new container terminal in the Beverwijkse haven De Pijp was sunk last week.

The terminal is a project of Schavemaker Logistics BV and Transko & Warehousing BV working in co-operation with the municipality of Beverwijk. The province of North Holland is also investing in the project, which will cost 2.45 million euro in total. The investments will be recovered from rental that Transko and Schavemaker will pay over the coming 15 years.
