Renault Trucks opens its main facility for the Netherlands in the Port of Amsterdam

6 March 2008
A new Renault Trucks center will open its doors in the Amsterdam port area on Friday, March 7,  2008. The new site, located on Beiraweg 3 in the Atlaspark, will also serve as the company’s main facility in the Netherlands.

From Amsterdam, Renault Trucks will be selling, renting out and servicing commercial vehicles for the western part of the Netherlands. The new center is the sixth for Renault Trucks in the Netherlands. The company already operates sites in Utrecht, Barneveld, Westland, Schiedam and Tegelen.

The center will employ between 20 and 25 people at its opening – a number that is expected to rise to 30 in 2009.

Renault Trucks is the second company establishing itself in the Atlaspark (Westpoort), after the distribution center opened by Christiaan Salvesen. This industrial park is being developed into an international logistics hub with excellent accessibility (by sea, short-sea, inland waterway, rail, road and air) and a location in the heart of the world’s biggest trading bloc and consumer market.
